When White Chicken began in 1996, (thanks Dan & Ben for getting us off on the right foot) one of our tenets came from the imagist poet William Carlos Williams’ poem, The Red Wheelbarrow. Because everything depends on the red wheelbarrow, we represented what was beside it: sort of like the chicken behind the curtain.

Since then, White Chicken has evolved from simple reviews to sophisticated criticism, from the brief press release to SEO strategy, the tag line to the blog lines. In other words, we’ve taken a circuitous route across the road.

We’ve made bad decisions...
...and great ones.

We’ve known people in high places...
...and low.

We still believe that great things can happen from a single effort: a step toward making yourself, your business, or your work a little smarter, a little zingier, a little more capacious, a little more refined, a little simpler or a little more complex.

Can we help you get where you’re going?

The Red Wheelbarrow

so much depends
upon

a red wheel
barrow

glazed with rain
water

beside the white
chickens.
